Welcome to a new look for MarylandHBE.com, the website of the Maryland Health Benefit Exchange. On top of a fresher, cleaner look, the revamped site offers more resources and tools at your fingertips.
New features and benefits include:
- A responsive, mobile-friendly design so it’s easier to access on smart phones and tablets. At least one-third of people polled in a survey last fall indicated a preference for using mobile devices to connect with us.
- Frequent updates through our social media channels on Facebook and Twitter and to our YouTube videos of user tips and testimonials.
- Faster access to our blog, “The Connection,” with the latest news and information about enrollments and the state’s marketplace..
- “The Toolbox,” a new one-stop shop of materials available for consumer outreach, producers, insurance carriers and SHOP Administrators, Connector Entities and the Application Counselor Sponsoring Entity (ACSE) program.
You’ll also find a Calendar of Events, enrollment maps and data, news, as well as Board and committee meeting updates. Job listings, contract procurements, presentations and financial information are easier to locate on the site and offer greater transparency to the public. Where to go for specific help is easier to find, too, on our “Contact Us” page.
You’ll find a new logo, actually the first logo, for the Maryland Health Benefit Exchange. It echoes the logo for the 2-year-old Maryland Health Connection marketplace, where more than a half-million people have enrolled for health coverage for 2015. We’re thankful for the response from Marylanders and for the dedication and effort of our stakeholders, staff and partners statewide.
We hope you enjoy the new-look website. And look for more changes to come to improve the user experience for MarylandHealthConnection.gov. They will be ready by this fall when the next open enrollment arrives for 2016 coverage through Maryland’s state-based marketplace.
