MCHP Premium Amounts (Issue 149)

Maryland Children’s Health Program (MCHP) Premium is low-cost health insurance coverage for higher-income children up to age 19 between 212% and 322% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL). The premium amount charged is per family, not per child.

Below are the premiums for 2017, effective June 1:

  • D02 coverage group: $54 per month for a family 212-264% FPL
  • D04 coverage group: $67 per month for a family 265-322% FPL
  • American Indians and Native Alaskans do not have to pay a monthly premium to enroll in MCHP Premium
